Vianden

We found a quad room at the lovely Hotel Petry  in Vianden, Luxembourg.  This little resort town was pretty slow during mid-week in October but I hear it gets very busy in summer.  It was a lovely spot and we wish we had a reason to stay longer.
That's a tractor going up the road by the way.

A grand castle overlooks this quaint little town.  It has an impressive history but it had fallen into ruins until the 70's when it was restored and now it is open to the public.

Most of what you see in this photo was built in the last 40 years.

It was a bit chilly for a walk along the river but we couldn't resist...it was all so lovely.
