The Black Forest

On Monday we headed to Triberg in the Black Forest.  The main attractions in the area are the beautiful waterfalls, cuckoo clocks (and maybe the funny looking squirrels).  It was a perfect crisp fall day. The area was so pretty.

Just a photo from the parking lot....

The Triberg Waterfalls are a series waterfalls in the Gutach River, which are among the tallest waterfalls in Germany with a total vertical drop of 496 feet.

"T" was traumatized by the thought of hiking up to the top of the falls.  He had a "Stomachache" and a headache (which magically disappeared at the playground) but honestly we had pushed him so far outside his comfort zone in the last week that I let him skip most of the hike.
