Where does the time go.

After recovering from the post traumatic stress that was Girl Scout Weekend in Savannah we went on to have a BUSY summer.  I planned less than ever before and was busier than ever before.  The painting project I had planned for summer break has now been bumped off the schedule indefinitely.  School began in August with more classes stating next week.  WE ARE SLAMMED.  And I don't like it.  I imagine however, this level of life intensity will last until "J" graduates.  Assume from this point forward ---I am exhausted.  An exhausted taxi, tutor, and personal chef.

I used to take so many cute photos on 4th of July.  Now I get one.  At least the boy was cooperative.  Maybe a but too much so.  This was the first time the kids really realized how "red" this celebration is.  As a matter of fact we have decided to check out "bluer" fireworks in the future.  Hoping for less country music and fewer YeeHaws.

In July "J" attended summer camp.  I feel fortunate that she didn't spontaneously combust.  It was HOT this summer and even hotter at camp-several hours south of home.

Settling into her home away from home.  I finally quit limiting pillows.  I am sympathetic to her pillow needs.  I too have a great need for pillows.  Mine is more based on old age aches and pains however.

Mom don't take my photo! OMG!

Princess decided she needed a sofa in her room...so off to Ikea we go.  This is the closest I could get to a smile.

A friend from college was kind enough to let "J" and a friend come to the lake this year for Girls Weekend

 They did LOTS of tubing.

And I snuck in a few photos.

Not sure if this was "please don't stop" or "there's water in my eyes".

The we found an epic swimming hole.  "J" was worried about the "teenage boys" but they all seemed to get along fine.
