I don't know if it was Covid brain or what- but in the spring I decided I couldn't live in my home of 16 years any longer. Maybe it was "D" living an hour away in the mountains, maybe it was a logical choice to get home closer to the college campus where my kids would soon both attend-but whatever the reason, I just had to get out of there and fast. The next few months would be a mad dash to pack up 16 years worth of stuff + paint inside and out + and make all those little repairs you always put off until you sell.
I'm glad I had my buddies to keep me company
Ok, truth be told I wish I could have brought my soapstone too.
Getting it was such an ordeal -but I loved it every day.
Neutral colors everywhere.
I won't miss my messed up yard that absolutely destroyed by the septic replacement. I won't miss my "christian" neighbors who were so rude and hateful. Oh and there are a lot more won't miss items.
The kids had one last chance to say good bye. This is where they grew up.
