Strasbourg is such a beautiful city. We didn't have time to see much of it and that's a shame. We only had a few hours (in the rain) and we decided to see the cathedral. You could spend days here. I think if Paris is too overwhelming and busy, Strasbourg is just right. You still get fabulous food and shopping, beautiful architecture, museums, and historical sites but at a slower pace.
Looking toward the cathedral from the top of the parking garage.
We didn't really have a plan for our visit...we just started walking in the general direction of the Cathedral. We got to see a lot of lovely things...but it's the last time I go anywhere without a plan (and a map).
In the old town area.
There is a McDonald's just to the right of the pink sign. It was packed-and not with Americans.
Strasbourg is REALLY old. I loved walking down the narrow medieval streets.
I really wish we had gone into more chocolate shops and bakeries.
Up ahead is the Cathedral. It is very impressive.
It's nearly as ornate and spectacular as Notre Dame
All around the Cathedral square are these fabulous old buildings. The architecture is amazing.
I wish I knew how old they were.
I don't know what this is...but we all found it to be interesting. It's just outside the shopping center.
