After our boat tour we walked over to Notre Dame.
|
It was just getting dark and the lights were coming on. Lovely! |
|
The kids were "tired" so we perked them up with some Berthillion Ice Cream. |
We had originally planned to climb Notre Dame but it wasn't on the schedule for tonight. Perhaps we should have because we did so much walking and climbed so many stairs that no one had the energy to climb it later in the week.
It became readily apparent on the trip that the birds were
more interesting to my daughter than almost anything else. We had to feed the pigeons everywhere we
went. And oddly enough, as much as she
likes to feed the pigeons (and any other bird)…she also liked to chase them.
It too became painfully obvious that my son doesn’t handle
change well. Not sure where he gets that
from. Once when he was 3 or 4 I switched
out a piece of furniture in the dining room.
He cried for 30 minutes and begged me to change it back. So, yes, being in a foreign country was hard
for him. Three days into the trip and he
was crying to go back to the US. Poor
kid. I think he really handled it well all
things considered. However future international
travel is something he hopes to avoid.

And more gargoyles... |

Turn down any side street and you'll find something like this. |
