After taking a few photos of the Capitol we headed for the Washington Monument.
We really enjoyed our visit to the Washington Monument. The elevator ride to the top takes 70 seconds although the first elevator took 20 minutes and was only open to men (women and children had to walk). It's a quick tour but the view is worth it. DC really reminds me of Paris. And the view from the top of the Washington Monument is very much like the view form the Arc de Triomphe (if you squint)
