Not Quite Back to School

The public schools here start in early August.  EGADS!!!! That's too early.  It's still hot out and there is still fun to be had.  Luckily Our private school friends still have a few days of summer left to spend with us.

 

 

  This kid is never getting his license if I have anything to say about it.

 

 

 It's a fact; rats like butter pecan gelato....

"J" did her first triathlon in August.  We were a bit unsure about transition and the finer details of the race, but overall it went well and she finished.

 "J" has a decent bike (for a kid) but gee whiz....some kids had really nice bikes...like nicer than I will ever have, and they were 10.  These same kids had really hyper involved yelling parents...I guess they think if they spend 1000 bucks on a bike for a ten year old-that 10 year old better PERFORM!

  I was so glad to see her running for the finish line....

 And with a smile on her face!

 

 

Totally worth the effort for a medal...She says she will do it again.  That's awesome.
