National Archives

So the US Government sort of frowns on photography in the National Archives...but trust me we were there.  "T" really wanted to see the Declaration of Independence.  But our visit was pretty short. Since we had time to kill before our monuments tour we walked over to the Smithsonian sculpture garden.  It was  great place to spend some time relaxing.

As we were leaving "J" shouted "albino squirrel." We were all pretty excited. First the squirrel at the zoo and now this...

After a bit of relaxing we headed to dinner at a terribly "campy" BBQ place.  As a former Texan I felt somewhat offended.  Hmmm...wonder where city folk get their negative opinions of southerners...probably partially from campy BBQ restaurants.

After dinner we headed to the Navy memorial to meet our tour.
It is across the street from the national Archives
