El Miradoor

El Miradoor is a series of stunning "rock" formations along the eastern side of the Island of Cozumel.  The rock is actually coral that has been shaped by the pounding waves.  It was breathtaking and the ocean is every bit as turquoise as these photos imply.

Parts of the coast are other worldly.  We thought it looked like volcanic rock.  Or maybe the surface of the moon, if the moon had an ocean.

This photo was taken a few miles away taken from the highest point on Cozumel-Home of Coconuts, a trashy bar with moldy women's panties hanging around the ceiling.  Can you tell I was not a fan.

This crocodile was sunning itself along the road.

 Back to El Miradoor

The boy didn't wear the shoes his mother suggested...so he struggled to get out here to the flag.  The rock was SHARP.  Fortunately my Chacos seem to made of tire rubber and the soles didn't get a scratch.

The girl got a little sunburn. The boy turned brown and looked just like my dad who always seemed to have a perma tan.

Bless his heart.  He will still let me take his photo any time I ask.
