For “T’s” birthday we surprised him with a trip to the newly opened LegoLand Discovery Center (not to be confused with LegoLand). He has always wanted to go to LegoLand (an actual amusement park). Hopefully he thinks that is where we went. I won’t tell if you don’t tell.
It was so much fun surprising “T”. LLDC had only been open two weeks. He didn’t know it even existed. We just told him we were going to “some place” at a mall. He is such a good sport. He told us anything we did would be great. We teased him about window shopping and going to Build-A-Bear etc. But when he saw that Lego logo he flipped out. He couldn’t stop squealing, and hugging us and jumping around. He said it was the best day of his life.
Personally it was a miserable and loud experience and I will never understand the lack of cocktails at the snack stand. Thanks to some generous grandparents and great-grandparents “T” was able to go shopping before we left. He got two big dinosaur Lego sets. It was a great day.
