End Of Year Play

"J's" (enrichment) class had a big end of the year production. Of course her entire year was spent studying...well...I think it was the Classical Time Period. So the play, bells, and chorale performance were all from that time period. I wouldn't call it a rousing production but we enjoyed it nonetheless.

From sheep shearing to a birthday party. We had a busy day.

Sheep Shearing

We had a great morning at a local sheep shearing festival.  Much to my surprise there were multiple sheep shearing festivals in our area occurring on this same weekend.  I didn’t even know there were many sheep around here, but apparently there are and they needed shearing.  We enjoyed a petting zoo, all sorts of turn of the century folk art demonstrations, and of course sheep shearing.

Easter

Easter: not our finest day. “T” was pretty grumpy which made mommy pretty grumpy. There may have been lectures about “being grateful”…I can’t really remember, it’s sort of a blur. But despite all the grumpiness we still managed to have a few good times.

Over Spring Break we decided to check out a new hiking trail.  Hiking is always more fun with friends.

Six Flags

We ended the birthday celebrations by going to Six Flags. I hate Six Flags but we go because the kids love it. Also season passes cost about 10 dollars more than general admission for a day. So we have to go a lot. At least it was a beautiful day. “J” wants to ride every roller coaster there and would if we allowed it. As it stands she got to ride the Mind Bender for the first time this year to add to her ever growing list (all Disney coasters, and the Ninja, Wylie Coyote, Mine Ride, and Georgia Cyclone at Six Flags).  "T" tried the Mindbender too but said it scrambled his brain a little.

It was a good day to get wet.
