It Was a Dark and Rainy Night...

...And we had to go Trick-or-Treating. Oh the kids didn't mind. A little rain would never keep them from their goal...CANDY! But rain wouldn’t be our only obstacle this night. Poor “T” was accidently knocked over by a friend while we were trick-or-treating with and did a “face plant” into the street. He wasn’t deterred for long-he courageously braved the pain for the sake of more treats.

OUCH!

H1N-huh

Well we may never know what "bug" hit the family a few weeks ago but if it wasn't H1N1 it was a very close relative. The kids had high fevers, sore throats, hacking coughs and pretty much every symptom of the flu. However our pediatrician wouldn't even test for the flu because she said that our area didn't have any Tamiflu anyway....hum....sounds like government healthcare....but I do digress.

My baby poor baby (she had the chills)

Glasses

"T" was having a difficult time seeing the "small" words. I wasn't sure if he was being stubborn or was really having a hard time seeing. Well...long story short, the photo answers the question. "T" thinks his glasses are cool. Luckily he doesn't need to wear them all the time but he can use them for reading and school work. Who wants to wager on how long until he breaks them....

Too Cute

When you have trouble waking your child...try getting a little help from a furry friend.

It's Fall Y'all

So the Green clan heads to the country for pumpkins. This year and we headed up to the hills with some friends. We enjoyed wagon rides, hay mazes, barn yard animals, face painting and much more.

The Big Game

It is official-the kids LOVE soccer. I'll admit I am surprised. "J" has stopped and started ballet so many times...she is really wishy-washy about it, preferring to dance her own way in her own room to her own music. "T" too has been blasé about sports-for instance we tried karate....but he didn’t like the classes-he swears he is a king-fu master already-no lessons needed.

But soccer-they can't get enough. "J" absolutely loves making goals (which she actually does on a regular basis). "T" just loves the camaraderie of the team. He comes off the field saying "wasn't I awesome" even if he never even got close to the ball.

Enjoy these "action" shots from the weekend's game.

Birthday

"J" celebrated her 5th birthday last week. This was the first year we didn't have a "big" party with friends at a venue of some sort. I felt guilty that we didn't have a "friends" party but in retrospect with the unexpected flooded basement we had enough on our plate for the weekend. "J" still had fun. Who doesn't love cake and presents!

Party guest Clifford

Oh gosh, look at this sad cake. I tried to make the cake Jill wanted for her birthday because I just couldn't part with the 60 dollars that the bakery was asking for (a well done version of) the cake. She loved it and never once noticed the collapsing turrets. Nothing like a little pink icing to make every little girl's birthday wishes come true.

Yum, it tastes even better than it looks

Ooh! Ahh! princesses and more princesses
